Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 6, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Brownaro Studios, LLC ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile games and applications (collectively, the "Apps"). By downloading or using our Apps, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

We do not require you to create an account, and we do not ask you for your name, email address, or other directly identifying information to play our games. Most of the data described below is collected automatically by the advertising technology our Apps use.

1. Information We Collect

Information collected automatically through advertising

Our Apps are supported by advertising provided through one or more of the following advertising networks: Google AdMob, Unity Ads (Unity LevelPlay), and AppLovin. Not every App uses every network. To serve and measure ads and to prevent fraud, these SDKs automatically collect and share certain information, which may include:

This information is collected and used by each network, which may also share it with that network's own advertising or demand-side partners to serve ads. To learn more, see:

Information stored on your device

Your game progress, settings, and preferences are stored locally on your device. Other than content you explicitly choose to submit to us (see "Course submissions" below), we do not collect or transmit this information to our own servers, and it is removed when you uninstall the App.

Information you choose to provide

If you contact us directly (for example, by email for support), we will receive the information you choose to send us, such as your email address and the contents of your message. We use this only to respond to you.

Course submissions. Some of our games let you design your own content and submit it to us for review. Where a game includes this feature, submitting is entirely optional and happens only when you choose to send it. A submission includes the content you created, an author name you type, and any notes you write. It is delivered to us by email through Formspree (formspree.io), a third-party form service that processes it on our behalf. We use it only to review your submission and, if we add it to a game, to credit the author name you supplied. You can ask us to delete a submission at any time at support@brownaro.com.

Custom puzzle themes (AI-generated content)

Some of our games let you type your own theme or topic and generate puzzle content from it. Where a game includes this feature, typing a theme is entirely optional — the game's built-in content works without it, and nothing is sent anywhere unless you choose to type something.

When you do, the theme you typed is sent to a small server we operate on Cloudflare Workers (Cloudflare privacy policy), which passes it to Anthropic (anthropic.com), the provider of the Claude AI models. Anthropic generates a list of words matching your theme and returns it. Both companies process the theme on our behalf as service providers.

Two things about this are worth knowing:

To limit abuse and cost, the server also keeps a short-lived count of how many new themes have been generated from a given internet connection. That counter is keyed to a one-way cryptographic hash of the IP address rather than to the address itself, is not linked to any theme, and is deleted automatically after about 48 hours.

If you would like a theme you typed removed from our cache, contact us at support@brownaro.com.

We do not operate any analytics servers, and we do not transmit your gameplay or usage data to ourselves. The only things that reach our own systems are the items described directly above — content you explicitly choose to submit, and a theme you choose to type. Any diagnostic, usage, or identifier data described earlier is collected by the advertising networks, not by us directly.

2. How Information Is Used

3. Advertising and Third Parties

We use advertising networks — which may include Google AdMob, Unity Ads, and AppLovin — to deliver ads. Not every App uses every network. Depending on your consent and your device settings, ads may be personalized (based on your advertising identifier and other data) or non-personalized. Each network acts as our advertising partner and may share data with its own advertising or demand-side partners to serve ads. A list of these partners, where applicable, is presented to you within the consent prompt described below.

If our Apps offer in-app purchases, those transactions are processed by the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. We do not receive or store your payment card details.

4. Leaderboards

Some of our games include online leaderboards. Where a game includes this feature, we collect a display name, your score, and an identifier used to associate your leaderboard entries. A display name is generated automatically by default; some games may let you change it.

This information is sent to Talo (trytalo.com), an open-source game backend service that provides our leaderboard functionality and processes this data on our behalf. We do not use leaderboard data to track you across other apps or websites, and we do not sell it.

Display names are shown publicly on leaderboards alongside scores. Display names are filtered for inappropriate content, and we reserve the right to remove any display name that violates our terms.

You can review Talo's privacy policy at https://trytalo.com/privacy.

If you would like your display name or leaderboard data removed, contact us at support@brownaro.com and we will remove it upon request.

5. Your Choices and Consent

Europe (EEA), the UK, and Switzerland (GDPR)

If you are located in these regions, we present a consent prompt when you first launch the App, where you can consent to or decline the use of your data for personalized advertising. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time through the privacy options available in the App's settings.

Apple App Tracking Transparency (iOS)

On iOS, where an App requests it, you will be asked through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt whether to allow tracking using your device's advertising identifier. Apps that serve only non-personalized ads do not show this prompt. You can change this choice at any time in your device's Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.

Controlling your advertising identifier

United States privacy rights

Depending on your state of residence (for example, under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended), you may have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell your personal information for money. The use of your advertising identifier for personalized advertising may be considered "sharing" under some state laws; you can opt out using the device controls above or by declining personalized ads in the in-app prompt where presented. To exercise your rights, contact us using the details below.

6. How Information Is Shared

We do not sell your personal information. Information is shared only:

7. Data Security and Retention

Data transmitted by the advertising services is encrypted in transit using industry-standard protocols (TLS). Data collected by Google is retained according to Google's own retention policies. Leaderboard data sent to Talo is likewise encrypted in transit and retained according to Talo's own data retention practices. Information stored locally on your device remains until you delete it or uninstall the App.

Themes you type and the puzzle content generated from them are stored so that the same theme does not have to be generated again, and are kept until we remove them. The short-lived abuse-prevention counter described in section 1 is deleted automatically after about 48 hours. Requests to our own server are encrypted in transit (TLS).

8. International Transfers

The third-party services we use may process information in countries other than the one in which you live, including the United States. By using our Apps, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in these countries.

9. Children's Privacy

Our Apps are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes may also be communicated within the App. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
